The
Tombstone Vigilantes is a 501(c) 3 organization in Tombstone, Arizona dedicated to preserving Old West traditions and history
around the state of Arizona. Called "The Ambassadors of Tombstone", this group performs skits and dances portraying
life in the Old West, and Tombstone historical stories in particular. Monies raised during performances on Allen Street on
the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of every month, rain or shine, hot or cold, go to support local charities such as Seniors Meals
on Wheels, the Tombstone Food Bank, the Small Animal Shelter and others.
For loads of fun and laughs, they also perform public service
"hangings" on your unsuspecting family members, co-workers, friends--anyone you'd like to see "swing"
on the end of the rope. A great way to celebrate birthdays, retirements, anniversaries--you name it. Visit their website for
scheduling information.
Gammons Gulch, located in Pomerene, Arizona, just north
of Benson, AZ, is a Ghost Town Movie Set complete with old building taken down and moved from around the state and rebuilt
on this site. Inside the buildings you will find loads of antiques and memorabilia from those bygone days of the West. Visit
the blacksmith's forge that looks ready for action, or the Assay Office, complete with kiln and chemistry just right
for assaying your latest "silver" find. The town is ideal for picnics, car club destinations, weddings, photo
groups, and, of course, for filming amateur and professional movies.
The background pictures for the Toughnut Gingers ornament character set were taken
at this location. Throw in a little Photoshop Magic and voila--an Old West Town just right for a 6" Ginger Boy!
